Why Ayurveda for CKD

Kidney damage has a cause. Treat that.

Conventional management mostly controls what surrounds your kidneys: sugar, blood pressure, phosphate. Ayurveda asks why the damage began, and works on the inflammation, toxin load (ama) and metabolic strain underneath it.

  • Creatinine still rising, with "nothing more to do until dialysis"
  • Churna or capsules bought off a shop shelf, with no idea what is inside
  • Advice to stop your allopathic medicines, from people who never saw your reports
  • No one checking whether the Ayurvedic treatment is actually working

Ayurveda should be measured, not promised.

Every protocol here is prepared in our own clinic and judged against your lab reports. If your numbers don't move, the protocol changes.

The Ayurvedic CKD protocol

Three pillars. One kidney protocol.

Formulations, Panchkarma and Pathya, chosen for your stage of kidney disease and adjusted as your reports change.

Aushadhi · Formulations

35 years of proprietary formulations

Kashayam, Choorna and Ghrita prepared to clinical standard in our own practice, refined over 35 years of treating kidney patients. Not supplement approximations off a shelf.

Panchkarma · Shodhana

Supervised cleansing, not spa therapy

Basti and Virechana are clinical procedures. They are used when your stage and strength allow, under a doctor's supervision, and never sold as a fixed package.

Pathya · Diet & routine

Food and routine as treatment

A kidney-specific Pathya plan built around your potassium, phosphorus and protein numbers, with a daily routine (dinacharya) your family can actually follow.

Not all Ayurveda is the same

Shop-bought Ayurveda versus a supervised protocol

Most patients have already tried something Ayurvedic before they reach us. The difference is who prepared it, who prescribed it, and whether anyone checked the result.

Churna from a shop

Generic remedies, no supervision, no proof.

  • The same formula sold to every kidney patient, whatever the stage
  • No way to know who prepared it or what is inside
  • No lab tracking, so you find out at the next blood test
  • Told to stop your allopathic medicines
  • No doctor to call when something doesn't feel right

Dr. Joshi's Ayurvedic protocol

Prepared, prescribed and proven in our own clinic.

  • A protocol built for your CKD stage and your reports
  • Formulations prepared to clinical standard in our own practice
  • Creatinine, eGFR and urea reviewed at every visit
  • Your prescribed medicines continue; changes only with your physician
  • A Vaidya (Ayurvedic physician) who knows your case at every follow-up
How treatment works

From first consultation to steady numbers.

  1. 01

    Consultation & reports

Bring your latest creatinine, eGFR and urine reports. Your Ayurvedic assessment and your lab history are read together.

  2. 02

    Your protocol

Formulations chosen for your stage, with a Pathya plan for diet and daily routine you can start the same week.

  3. 03

    Panchkarma, if indicated

If your stage and strength allow, Basti or Virechana is scheduled at the clinic under supervision.

  4. 04

    Review the numbers

Repeat labs at the agreed interval. Creatinine and GFR trends decide what changes next.

  5. 05

    Long-term Rasayana

Once the numbers steady, the protocol shifts to holding kidney function and preventing relapse.

FAQ's

Everything you need to know

Still have questions? Speak directly with our team for guidance on your condition.

Ask on WhatsApp
Can Ayurveda actually reduce creatinine?

It is one of our most documented outcomes: patients reducing creatinine, slowing the decline in GFR and delaying dialysis. Every result is tracked against your lab values rather than asking you to take our word for it.

Do I have to stop my allopathic medicines?

No, and please don't stop anything on your own. Your prescribed medicines continue. Any reduction happens gradually, with your treating physician, once your reports support it.

Are the formulations safe for my kidneys? What about heavy metals?

Our formulations are prepared to clinical standard in our own practice, which is exactly why we advise against self-medicating with shop-bought churna. Kidney function is monitored throughout treatment, so anything that doesn't suit you shows up in your reports.

What exactly is Panchkarma?

A set of clinical cleansing procedures, such as Basti and Virechana, performed under medical supervision. It is not a spa massage package, and it is used only when your stage and physical strength allow.

How long before I see a change?

Most patients see measurable improvement within 6–12 weeks. Advanced stages, diabetes or several conditions together can take longer.

Do you treat Stage 4, Stage 5 or dialysis patients?

Yes, and we are honest about what is realistic. We review your reports first and tell you what the protocol can and cannot do at your stage.

Can I consult from another city?

Yes. Online consultations run across India, with in-person care at our Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Thane clinics.
